Lead you explore peak of volcano Slamet 3432 m in Central Java, the second highest active volcano of Java Island after volcano Semeru in East Java. Hike via Bambangan through local plantations path, then enter to mountain tropical rain forest of volcano Slamet, and stony-sandy path heads for summit of the volcano. The trip included overnight by camp in tent below altitude 3050 m ( below Plawangan ).Make summit in the morning, walk down cross Slamet's sand ocean heads for crater rim to have closer look of the central crater of the volcano, as well as smaller craters spewing out sulfuric smoke. Actual trek approx 10 hours ascent-descent.Good fitness level is required.Get in and out via Yogyakarta.
BRIEF ITINERARY:
DAY1: Pick up service around the city of Yogyakarta ( Mostly at your hotel lobby), then transfer by private ac car to Bambangan. Lunch at Basecamp of Bambangan. Begin the hike in afternoon heads for camp site for 3 - 4 hours for over night by camp in tent.(L,D).
DAY2:Early in the morning, weak up, have a glass of warm drink and craker before it's time for summit attack.Make summit in the morning, catch sunrise on the way up Plawan-summit as well as on summit.After sight seeing on summit, we then walk down cross stony path and sand head for crater rim to have closer look of the carters of volcano Slamet. Descent back via Bambangan for transfering you back to Yogyakarta city for your next destination.(B,L)
